I just got back from a five mile walk which started just about dawn. As I walked, the day began to come alive as the light grew brighter in the eastern sky. Not a cloud in sight. The temp. was around 58, and it was one of the most perfect mornings I have witnessed in my life. I looked to the sky and prayed as I walked. This is my prayer time each day, and what a wonderful way to communicate with He who is the Creator of all things.
I thought also, as I walked, about just how much I have to be thankful for. Just the privilege of being alive in His world is so great an honor. And the gift of life, on this earth alone, is beyond measure. But combine that with the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, and the joy becomes almost unspeakable. My heart goes out to those who do not realize, or will not acknowledge the magnificence of God's presence in our lives.
As I prepare to take my two granddaughters to church this morning, my heart is filled with such joy. Such a privilege we have, such freedom, to be able to attend worship as we see fit, without fear of persecution. This too is an honor that God has bestowed upon us. May we never take it so much for granted that we begin to ignore it completely.
I will not see my lovely , wonderful Sue today because she has to work a 14 hour double shift. By the time she gets off work, I will be at work on my shift. But all is ok because this is the last day that I will not see her. Starting tomorrow, we will spend at least a little time together each day this week, and then Friday is the big day for us. Friday evening at 5:oopm Central time, Sue Ellen will become my wife. I can hardly wait, but must. The hours are ticking by slower than ever. But Friday will come, God willing, and all will come to pass.
Time for Church, may God bless you well today.

Daddy,
AMEN AND PRAISE GOD! We all take so much for granted. Everyday we should at least look up to him and praise him and thank him for all that he has given us. I am so guilty of sitting around looking at the things in this ole life that make me miserable instead of looking at all the BEAUTIFUL things God has given me in this life. hummmm that got me thinking Maybe I will just start a notebook that I have to write in every morning at least one thing that I am thankful for. That will be a constant reminder of what I have to be thankful for. Okay now my mind is working on a project here. Well I better get off here and get the bills paid. Love ya bunches!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will see ya Friday. Love Linda
Linda, thanks for stopping by, and also for the comment. I think the notebook is a great idea.
Imagine if you can,a triangle with Jesus at the top point, yourself at one of the bottom points, and your problem at the other bottom point. Got that fixed in your mind ?? OK, now think about this... When you are looking over at the problem, you can't see Jesus. But when you look up at Jesus, on the top point, you can't see the problem. And Jesus, from His position on top, can keep His eyes on both you AND the problem.
The point.... keep your eyes always on Jesus, and trust Him to take care of it all.
Love Daddy
