If any one has received a ransom note, just ignore it. I have NOT been kidnapped by terrorists or agents of the IRS. I have just been extremely busy for the last couple of weeks with Texas BBQ & Beans. I've been getting about four hrs of sleep a night for so long I'm running on auxillary power. But it is a good tired, solidly surrounded by dollar signs.
We just finished a first for our BBQ business this past weekend. We were set up at two different locations about 75 miles apart, with my son Josh running one at the Buffalo Days festival in Greenfield MO. and myself and crew at the 42nd Annual Memorial Day Races at MOKAN Dragway in Asbury MO.
I don't know for sure about Josh, but we had a blast at the race track. We always set up with a view of the starting line and get to see everything up close. We always have a really great time and get to meet most of the racers when they come over to eat.
There were some really neat things this year like the school bus that does a wheel stand for a full 1/4 mile, and of course,the jet cars. There were two jets that were made to look like Thomas the Train. They really stole the show. Lots of noise, smoke and power in addition to running the 1/4 mi at over 300 mph.
Well, anyway, we're back with a couple of weeks to catch up on things around Poverty Flats so stop by anytime. Until then, as always.......

Hey..how can we be sure this is not just a trick...give us the secret password! LOL
I must say, I was beginning to wonder, but if the ransome note had said, 'your money, or his life' you could have been in some pretty big trouble! :)
Glad your back..but can you still hear, after all that noise?

Jan, it's a goothing this blog is visual and not audio, I wouldn't be able to hear a thing you said. Yes, the noise was incredible, but so much fun.
And don't worry too much about the editing, I make mistakes all the time.
