Finally, after a long and eventful winter, Spring has sprung. This is, and always has been my favorite time of the year. Everything in the world outside is coming back to life after a long winter of dormancy. My trees are beginning to leaf out, the grass is greening, flowers are blooming and almost everything in my world is comming back to life, almost everything. Some things just take a little longer.
Granny shared my love of Springtime and all it has to give to humanity. We would always look at the seed catalogs together and plan what new things we would add to the flower and vegtable gardens. Hurricane Hailey, Kelsey and I will continue to tend the flower gardens, and I'm sure we will plant some things in the vegtable gardens. They both seem to have inherited Granny's enthusiasm for gardening. I try to maintain a positive attitude about things for their sake as much as possible. But, there is a huge vacant spot in the garden of my soul that just cannot be filled.
My comfort and sanity comes from the promise of that Springtime that is yet to come, for God's promise of resurrection and renewal of life is as certain as the sun that is rising in the eastern sky over Poverty Flats this beautiful Spring morning. If you have not done so yet, please, step outside and take a look. Smell the fresh air. It is full of Springtime and life. God has given it as a gift to humanity so please don't waste it.

Hi Don,
Spring is also my favorite time of year, I guess maybe I too inherited that from Mom. I am so glad spring is finally here, especially this year. After while I am going outside to get my tiller ready for it's season of work :) The weatherman is calling for rain over the next few days so I probably won't be able to get alot of tilling done but I will have it ready to go when it is time. Mom always liked to plant flowers in jusr about anything that would hold potting soil and this year I am going to do the same :) She could make a flower box out of anything, couldn't she?
I hope you have enjoyed your company the past week and I hope you enjoy your time down to Linda's this weekend. You drive careful and take care of yourself,
Bill

DM..Spring does bring a promise of something better..something to look forward to, doesn't it?
I remember a long time ago, I was very ill, and I remember lying there in bed, looking out the window, and thinking that if I could just make it to Springtime, everything would be alright.
With His help, I did, and it was! :)
Your girls are beautiful..you all are so blessed to have each other.
Bill, thanks for stopping by to visit . Happy planting. And yes, Granny could make a planter out of just about anything. I had to be careful about where I put my boots when I took them off. She would fill them with dirt and plant a flower in them. Have a great day. DM
Jan, thanks for visiting this morning. I remember a saying from Rev. Bob Harrington who was the "Chaplin of Bourbon Street in New Orleans years ago. He would always say "Ain't God good ? "
Have a great day... DM
