Just Reflecting

It's late here at Poverty Flats, the 10pm News & Weather indicate that the winter storm has passed. I think we have about 1 " of ice covered by 4-5" of powdery snow. The girls think it is really great, especially because of no school today and tomorrow. We made them a big bowl of snow ice cream this evening and they thought this was just the greatest thing in the world.I'm amazed at just how little it takes to make a child happy. They miss their Granny so much, but children seem to heal so much faster than do the grown-ups.

I have received so many cards, letters, phonecalls and e-mails from folks who knew my wife, and I am humbled by it all. I'm sure she had no idea just how many friends she really had and how many lives she had touched through the years. Frances cared about people. She always seemed to find people who were hurting or just needed someone talk to. And she did love to talk !

I want to thank those of you who left comments on our blog here at Poverty Flats. May God bless you for your kindness. And I want to thank you for your kindness and friendship with Bill and Roxi at Countyview Woodcrafts. May GOD be with all of you.

Don,
I was wondering if you got that ice there in Joplin. I was watching the weather channel and it looked like the ice might miss you but I guess not. I hope you guys are all OK there and apperently you have not lost power, so that's a good thing!

I was going to call you yesterday and tell you Happy Birthday but I'm sorry, I got to painting and lost all track of time. I'm sure you got your card though. So I'll just say Happy Birthday and day late!

Yes Mom had alot more friends than she thought and you are right she DID like to talk :) I know that I certainly miss her phone calls, we could talk for hours!!

Guess i better get off here for now and get busy painting. I pray daily for you and always will. Love and prayers,
Bill
