Grannys Home

Well, we brought Granny home from the hospital this evening. Things weren't quite as bad as we feared. The heart doctor said there were no blockages, but she does have a weak muscle in the front part of her heart. She will have to take it easy for a while. Which probably means we will have to use leg shackles and handcuffs. Granny is an extremely strong-willed person and doesn't take well to being reduced to an idle. She'll just have to get used to it because my job is to see that she does! !! At least this was found early enough, before any real serious damage could be done.
I guess when we get to be old folks we just have to make some ajustments in our lifestyles. It's not always easy to accept these things but there is very little we can do but go with the flow. I have known people over the years who are terrified of getting old. But when we really think about it , it's just a natural part of life. The thing most folks are afraid of is the unknown factor. But , when we know the ultimate future, know what is waiting beyond this life, that fear of the unknown quickly fades away.
Until next time, as always , Via Con Dios DM

I am glad that Mom got to come home yesterday and that things are not any worse than they are. Mom, you need to just slow down and take time to enjoy the smaller things of everyday life. I trust you are feeling pretty good or you would still be at the hospital. Now would be a good time for you to get back into embroidery and just lose yourself in that like I do my painting! Well anyway, I am glad you are home and maybe you can give me a call later. I willbe home until about 3:00 and then it will be a crap shoot after that. I'll talk to you later. I love you.
